Hello World

I’ll be honest with you, this is not my first attempt at a blog. This time though, I’m going to be keeping this blog more for myself than for everyone else. This blog is going to be dedicated to documenting my writing journey while I try to write, finish and publish my first novel.

I have been writing for as long as I can remember and have had the goal of becoming a published author since I knew what that meant. My mum even tells me stories about little mini-books that I used to write and read to her when I was younger. I guess that’s what makes me think that this is what’s really for me, that and it makes me unbelievably happy (most of the time).

So here we go, this will be day one of the actual writing part of the book. I’ve spent the last few days gathering and writing down (in one place) all the ideas that I’ve had for this book over the last couple of years. I had to go through the notes in my phone and hunt down some sticky (or not-so-sticky) notes, but I think I got all of it down.

Some characters have names already and they have jobs as well. I also have a general idea of how the story is going to progress and where it will end up at the end of the book.

Thus far, it is a sci-fi dystopian novel. That’s all I’m willing to share with the internet as of right now. Stay tuned if you want to go along on this journey with me, if not, have a fabulous day!
